COMARRC visits Baltic Defence College



INNSWORTH, United Kingdom - Lieutenant General Tim Radford CB DSO OBE, commanding officer of Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, visited the Baltic Defence College in Tartu, Estonia September 19 to learn about the College's work and to present an address.

Greeted by the College's Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff, Colonel Jean Trudel, along with members of the College Management Group, Radford was first briefed on the College's mission, vision, courses and research activities, which afterward he expressed his willingness to support the College's education efforts and to cooperate further as investment into regional security and capability building.

Following the College's in-brief, Radford presented an address entitled 'The ARRC - Corps Operations and Land Componency' to the faculty and current students of the Joint Command and General Staff Course and Civil Servants Course. Radford's presentation focused on the importance of command and control during operations as a requirement of unity of effort within a joint environment to achieve a desired end state, which included his personal experiences whilst posted to a variety of national and international assignments as a commander and staff officer.
