Sections of the headquarters explained how exercise Arrcade Fusion 2014 contributes to the readiness of both the ARRC and NATO. The training to deploy, test, and integrate with host nations in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia brought multiple test-bed concepts forward for the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force.

Troops from 16 Air Assault Brigade have deployed to Latvia to support an annual exercise run by the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC). Exercise Arrcade Fusion 2015 (AF15) sees NATO troops working alongside each other to test how they would respond to a security situation.

A detachment of Merlin Mk3 helicopters, aircrew, engineers and support staff from 846 Naval Air Squadron (NAS) of the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF), based at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton in Somerset, UK have deployed to Lielvarde AFB in Latvia in support of Ex Arrcade Fusion 15.

The Queen today visited Defence Business Services (DBS) and the Headquarters of NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ ARRC) at Imjin Barracks, Gloucester. During her visit to Innsworth House on the base, Her Majesty also opened a new briefing room at the MOD’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre (JCCC) and MOD Medal Office (MODMO).
